As reported on ZDnet - “In what seems to be an attempt to catch up to Yahoo! Finance, Google has rolled out a new version of their stock chart….Besides the new comparison feature, you can also customize some display settings for the charts. These settings include news flags, dividends, splits, volume, default zoom and verticle scale.”

It’s a nice a enhancement but still not as feature rich as Yahoo! Finance charts.
